Raja Raja Chozhan Governance

Though he was on continuous war expeditions, on the other hand, he made sure of the smooth functioning of the Government even in his absence. A book called “Doomsday book” is a manuscript of the “Great Survey” of England which was completed in 1086 by the order of William I. But in the year 1001 Raja Raja Chozhan ordered Raja Raja Marayan to measure all the lands under the Chozha kingdom which was approximately 85 years before the Doomsday was completed. The Raja Raja Marayas was then called Ulagalanthaan. The land was measured on the basis of Agricultural land, River beds and Towns/Villages where people live.

Chozha Dynasty

Ask any this generation kid to name a few kings with the highest valours. They would immediately name Alexander, Shahjahan or Mohammed bin tughlaq.

But if you ask me to name any such kings I’d name the kings of Chozha kingdom proudly. It is because they all were highly skilled in Governance, Control, Centralization, Urban Planning, Architecture, Patronizing literature, triumph over his wars etc. They were a powerhouse in Military, Economy, Architecture and a lot more across South East Asia. The Chozhas had a huge navy fleet which represented the Zenith of Indian sea power in Ancient India.

Multi account Terraform GitOps for AWS

As discussed in the earlier blog post, Terraform is idempotent. You cannot replicate the same set of Infrastructure. But that wouldn’t be the case always. At times, we might need to replicate our infrastructure when working with different environments. That’s when Terraform workspace comes in handy. It helps us to create multiple infrastructures with the same configuration but in different workspaces.

Import APIs in AWS with Terraform

API Gateway helps developers to create, manage and monitor APIs at any scale between a client and one or more backend services. Amazon Web Services has its own fully managed API Gateway service with which developers can manage their APIs. It also manages thousands of concurrent API calls, traffic management, CORS support, authorization and access control, throttling, monitoring, and API version management.

Terraform is an Infrastructure as a Code(IaC) tool. Read more about it here

Gitops in Kafka

It is not easy to manage Infrastructure as going wrong in any of the steps worsen the situation. Also, replicating the same set of configurations for an additional cluster is quite tedious. Here comes the Infrastructure as Code(IaC) handy. It helps us to provision the same Infrastructure across environments with the help of a source code. The IaC generates a binary of the source code. Then the IaC provisions the same infrastructure with the binary across environments every time it is applied and they are also Idempotency compliant.

A few of the IaC tools are Terraform, Ansible, Chef etc.
